Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Welcome to my web page! I’m a big proponent of "e-government." Being able to access Broward County government through the internet is easy, efficient and convenient. I’ve redesigned my website to provide you with the most up to date information on pertinent Broward County issues. Hopefully, you’ll find the information you need just by double-clicking on the various links. This also makes it easy to contact me via e-mail.

If you spend some time on our home web page at www.broward.org you'll be able to find information on every Broward County agency and there are a number of services that are available on-line. You can find a job, find a lost pet, purchase tickets at the Broward County Performing Arts Center, renew your automobile tags, get a library card, pay your Broward County utility or property tax bill, search county records, even register to vote on line without ever leaving home!

There’s also a link that features the weekly Commission agenda. The Commission agenda itemizes the issues that the Board will be discussing each Tuesday. You can even view the County Commission meeting on-line live as we discuss issues that could impact you. Believe it or not, the Broward County web page is one of the most accessed web pages in the world! Give it a try and you’ll see why it’s so popular.

The internet is just one way to find answers to your questions about county government. You can also pick up the phone and call the Broward County Call Center at (954) 831-4000. It is your one-stop information service center. The call center is quite unique because they can answer your questions in any language! The professionally trained staff can assist you between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

There are also a number of publications available that I think you’ll find helpful. The Broward County Commission At Your Service guide is available in English or Spanish. The booklet provides a brief description of County agencies and the corresponding telephone numbers. It’s a useful publication that you should keep at home for reference.

Another booklet, now available only online, that provides a broader wealth of information is the Resident's Guide to Government. Here you’ll find phone numbers to help you contact your Federal, State, County and City representatives. District maps are also featured to help you find elected office holders in your area.

You can pick up The Broward County Commission At Your Service guide free of charge at the Broward County Governmental Center located at 115 South Andrews Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. Or call my office at (954) 357-7001 and request a copy or you can always send an e-mail! I can be reached at ilieberman@broward.org.

Sincerely,
Ilene Lieberman
Broward County Commissioner
