During February, Broward County will celebrate Black History Month with events for all ages at libraries and parks across the county. South Florida, with its mixture of diverse international cultures and people, forms the perfect backdrop for Broward County Black History Month events.

10 - Black History Month Celebration, 4:40 – 6 p.m., Boulevard Gardens Community Center, 313 N.W. 28th Ter., Fort Lauderdale. Activities will include music, games and refreshments. For more information, call the park at 954-625-2988.

18 - It’s a Harlem Renaissance Family Affair! Enjoy live jazz by The Nicole Yarling 4-Tet; dances by the Jubilee Dance Theatre; dramatic readings and poetry; special refreshments and a free book to the first 50 families, 2 - 4 p.m., Lauderhill Towne Centre Library
