Broward Aging Alliance

MISSION
The Broward Aging Alliance mission is to develop solutions to effectively address the multiple needs of older adults who live in Broward County.

PURPOSE
The Broward Aging Alliance serves as a coordinated community leadership body concerned with matters relating to the well-being and improvement of the quality of life for Broward County’s elder residents.

Alliance activities include but are not limited to the following:
• Strategic Assessment and Planning
• Advocacy
• Funding and Resource Development
• Social Marketing
• Community Education and Outreach
• System Capacity and Competency Building

OFFICERS AND MEMBERSHIP
Alliance members are stakeholder agencies or constituent groups associated with aging issues and/or services who designate a representative to serve on the Alliance. Members can include older adults and caregivers. Members serve on a voluntary basis without compensation.

Executive Alliance officers serving two (2) year terms by a vote of Alliance members are a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary.

MEETINGS
The Alliance meets monthly at 2:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday at the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Broward County, 5300 Hiatus Road, Sunrise, Florida 33351.
